The Party

Using the Gm Emulator, and a bit of imagination, I have decided to forego the traditional rolling of character and go with archetypes. Those are:

  • The Shield: The tank, Valiant, the armor, the chainmail, the door-opener, the battle-cry, the battle-horn.
  • The Spell: The enchanter, the bookworm, the temptress, the mysterious, the runes, the unknown, the forbidden, the conjuror, possibly even the taboo.
  • The Potion: The alchemist, the scientist, the elixir, the antidote, the apothecary, the healer
  • The Lockpick: the trickster, the deceiver, the money, the bounty, the hidden, the secret, the spring, the trap, the consequences, the OPP.
Then there is no doubt of the other archetype, the opposite end of the coin
  • The Evil: The antagonist, death, the reaper, the shadow-lord, the night, the Unknown, the hater, the sinner, the cowardly, the powerful, the feared and the fearful.
  • The Cruelty: Vengeful, envious, laughing, gritty, sarcastic, gregarious, master-plan, in your face, the torturer.
Who these are and how they will appear, I have no idea. But they are emerging.

  1. I think I am taking these archetypes as an idea from Gaimen's 'American Gods' (perhaps my best envy book). One never saw Shadow in the book, so one made the character in their own image. I wonder if I can do the same with Scrawl?
